Long time ago, all the birds coexisted happily in a civilized society. Their president was an Eagle, and their secretary was a Parrot and the Vulture was the messenger. The Eagle is regarded for being fair to everybody, and the Parrot is known for his sarcasm and active involvement in the bird kingdom. They would have meetings at the end of each week to discuss issues impacting their community and how to improve them. In their social setting, they were happy, fun, tolerant, and highly energetic. They were also well aware of the presence of other animals. For example, if domestic, wild, or farm animals become ill or celebrate in any way, all the birds assemble and provide unique gifts for them. All other living creatures wish their species could replicate the birds’ orderly lifestyle. Some animals consider them to be the happiest of all. However, it was discovered at this point that the birds needed feathers on their wings to fly. They have wings but no feathers and they did everything to get it but failed.
One day, at the end of their weekly meetings, they decided to beg God for feathers because they felt it was the ideal solution. Even if some say it was a waste of time since it would never happen, they climbed to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, prayed, and asked God for feathers so they could fly. Surprisingly, God agreed to provide numerous feathers on one condition. According to God, only if they are unified will they receive feathers. That means that they were likely to have feathers at this point since their togetherness is undeniable. After everything was resolved, God instructed their leader, the eagle, to return the next day to collect and distribute the feathers equally among them. The next day Eagle followed the instructions.
When he arrived with the feathers, he quickly summoned all the birds to the weekly meeting location to claim their share. Except for the Parrot, all of them marked their presence. Instantly, the Vulture was sent by the Eagle to call the Parrot. On his way, he met the Parrot and told her about the feathers’ arrival.
“Do you realize I’m the secretary, and the president will retain my share for me?” The Parrot said sarcastically before departing.
All of the birds were furious when the Vulture delivered the message to the president, the Eagle. They believed the Parrot was arrogant, but they had no idea she was on her way to see and help her mother, who was in critical sickness. However, due to her misinterpreted response, other birds express their rage by sharing all of the feathers without leaving anything for her throughout the sharing process.
After some days passed, they didn’t hear from her, but they did learn that her mother had died. At this instant, all of the birds realized they had made a huge mistake and felt awful for sharing all of the feathers. When the parrot returned to the kingdom, all the birds went to see and offered her one feather. After acquiring different types and colors of feathers, the Parrot became the most colorful and the most beautiful among them. As a result, the Parrot’s feathers are multicolored.
